fonts-mathjax software package provides JavaScript display engine for LaTeX and MathML (fonts), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-mathjax
fonts-mathjax is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-mathjax package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-mathjax *
You will get with fonts-mathjax package name, version, architecture and description in a table
